Inspired by New York graffiti of the 1970s, stencil art is a form of street art, or urban art as it is often called, which has sprung up all over the globe in the last two decades. Now a respected art movement and refined art-form, it has long moved off the streets and into galleries and art spaces.Urban Art Agenda brings together some of the most prolific stencil artists from around the world in an unique showcase, presented by PinXit Arts & Events Management and curated by JD Mittmann, director of FamousWhenDead Gallery. The exhibition features works by A1one (Tehran), David Soukup (Chicago), ELK (Canberra), El Moocho (Melbourne), HaHa (Melbourne), Izolag (Salvador), Jana and JS (Salzburg), Jef Aerosol (Lille), Kenji Nakayama (Boston), Mandarina Brausewetter (Vienna), Orticanoodles (Milan), Ozi (São Paulo), Penny (London), XOOOOX (Berlin). The first two instalments of UrbanArtAgenda were presented in 2007 in Shed 4 at the Melbourne Docklands as part of International Design Festival and in Perth as part of the Alphabet City Festival at the ArtRage Complex. UrbanArtAgenda#3 was launched at the Art Gallery of Ballarat in July and will now be shown in Melbourne as part of the Fringe Festival and before touring to Sydney and Brisbane in October and September. UrbanArtAgenda#3 will also be presented as part of the Art & About Festival in Sydney 1 – 24 October.

Original works from C215, fellow French stenciller Sadhu and three quite amazing US artists – Adam5100, Broken Crow and Koleszar – are taking over Ink_d to showcase the re-written rules on stencil art.
A short selection of other artists from the book is presented on the first floor.
The Stencil History X book that gathers 40 French and International stencil artists with interviews and portfolios is available for sell in the gallery.
Per la prima volta in assoluto, per due giorni consecutivi tutta la scena della Street Art europea si riunirà nello stesso posto: la crema dell’avanguardia artistica nazionale ed internazionale si darà appuntamento a Bassano del Grappa per esprimersi liberamente all’interno di spazi dedicati, dalla scuola spagnola colorata e istintiva a quella francese minimalista e pulita, passando per quella molto tecnica e grafica di Germania ed Austria fino a quella italiana di maggior rilievo.
Infart (l’evento prende il nome dal collettivo di artisti che lo organizza) si contraddistingue per la velocità: Infart succede in 48 ore. 48 ore durante le quali gli artisti invitati si incontrano, vivono insieme, si confrontano e si misurano tra di loro e con gli ospiti. Il secondo taglio caratteristico di Infart è l’interazione con gli spazi: Infart occupa e trasforma spazi urbani. Mai come prima iniziativa e spazio si identificano, si sovrappongono e si fondono o, meglio: sono la stessa cosa.
La terza peculiarità che Infart è orgogliosa di coltivare è lo spirito di community e l’aria informale che si respira: non c’è un curatore, non c’è una mostra nei termini veri, ma c’è un party, c’è una rete di conoscenze che prende forma e lascia un segno.
La terza edizione dell’Infart avrà luogo nei giorni di sabato 6 e domenica 7 settembre 2008 negli spazi dell’Arena Cimberle-Ferrari: un open space che si configura come location ideale non solo perché strategicamente posizionata nel cuore del centro storico della città ma perché composta da una capiente corte racchiusa e delimitata da grandi superfici murarie perimetrali sulle quali prenderanno forma le opere di maggior grandezza.
Ad affiancare questa arena e dall’altra parte della strada (se camminate piano sono 2 minuti a piedi), gli spazi degli ex Garage Nardini: qui un’altra corte a cielo aperto e diverse stanze coperte ospiteranno un’onda di dipinti di eccezionale qualità tecnica.
Se infine voi spostate per 5 minuti a piedi in centro storico, il museo civico di Bassano del Grappa vi accoglierà con l’Indoor Exhibition di Infart e l’evento lancio del primo art toy italiano “Hello my name is Señor Blanco”. L’infart Indoor Exhibition vi mostrerà le opere su tela e le sculture di altri visionari street artist e in collaborazione con Atom Plastic, presenterà al mondo un custom show che battezzerà il Señor Blanco con un concentrato di creatività degno di un oggetto di culto.
20 street artist ospiti della manifestazione INFART insieme ad alcuni fra i più interessanti artisti provenienti dalla scena della grafica, dell’illustrazione e del fumetto italiano interpreteranno il toy bianco di Atom Plastic, usandolo come supporto per le loro creazioni artistiche.
Complessivamente più di 80 artisti con alle spalle carriere di assoluta rilevanza si affiancheranno per realizzare un colorato affresco di stili e linguaggi diversi interagendo tra loro stessi, magari influenzandosi a vicenda, per regalare al pubblico una visione di assoluta forza.
Ma questo è solo metà di quanto distinguerà le 48 ore dell’Infart.
In contemporanea con l’Infart, infatti, la città ospiterà un “all night long party” per festeggiare la nascita dell’Innovetion Valley, con la più grande concentrazione di creativi italiani in una sola notte.
INNOVeTION VALLEY, ideato e curato da Fuoribiennale, è un importante progetto in atto creato per dare un nome e un volto alla grande area creativa del Nord-Est d’Italia. Lontani dagli stereotipi, abitiamo oggi uno dei territori a più alta densità di industria creativa al mondo: dal fashion al design, all’arte, all’architettura e alle arti performative.
Siamo protagonisti di un processo inarrestabile di crescita e sviluppo del territorio, un’anticipazione dei processi economici e culturali destinati a guidare le prossime scelte politiche, aziendali e artistiche in un contesto di forte competitività e globalizzazione.

Kings of concrete events are a fusion of urban sports, music and street art. It’s a gathering of like-minded people, in essence a collaboration of skaters, BMX’ers, bladers, artists, musicians and generally groovy folk. Everyone is welcome to come along and participate in the fun or just relax and enjoy the spectacle.
There are ramp competitions for skating, blading, BMX’ing as well as a break dancing comp, an Ollie comp, a game of skate, hackysack and loads of free giveaways on the day.
The weird, wonderful and colourful backdrop is provided compliments of a number of graffiti artists working on various pieces throughout the duration of the event. The Beats are provided by a combination of live acts and dj’s. These events are aimed at a wide audience and are family friendly.

Kosmopolite 2008 : Stencil History X [18-21/06/08]
Considéré comme l’une des tendances graphiques contemporaines les plus importantes, tant dans les milieux de l’illustration commerciale que dans la rue ou dans les galeries, le pochoir est de la figuration libre. À partir d’une matrice de carton ou de métal, les pochoiristes reproduisent des dessins sur les murs ou sur toute autre surface plane : une technique simple et à la portée de tous.
Cette large possibilité artistique a séduit nombre d’artistes, reconnus aujourd’hui par les circuits officiels et une communauté bien plus importante d’individus, s’exprimant pour des raisons aussi variées qu’il existe de couleurs.
Toujours au fait de l’actualité des ouvrages consacrés à la création graphique contemporaine, le festival Kosmopolite propose cette année une performance autour de l’univers du pochoir à travers une présentation particulière du livre Stencil History X, parut en novembre 2007. Dédié aux pochoiristes et aux œuvres des artistes de carton et de la bombe, cet ouvrage se veut être une enquête sur l’histoire du pochoir en France. 40 artistes français et étrangers se sont prêtés au jeu des interviews et des confrontations visuelles de leurs portfolios.
Menée de concert avec l’association C215 (éditrice du livre), l’exposition du festival Kosmopolite accueillera des pochoiristes qui s’exprimeront sur des modules scénographiés à cet effet. Artistes à l’énergie incontrôlable, influencé par les mouvements rock, pop et punk, ils sont, dans les années 1980, considérés comme les enfants terribles de la famille graffiti, bien avant l’arrivée du writing. Aujourd’hui, le pochoir est un art où le message fait face à l’image, comme les instantanés d’une époque révolutionnaire non révolue, où les anciens combattants côtoient les nouveaux « guerilleros » du béton.
