Dal 13 aprile al 3 maggio 2009, il centro storico di Firenze si trasformerà in una grande kermesse di artisti di strada, con la presentazione di “Streets without wall”, evento di urban art promosso e organizzato, per la prima volta dalla Misericordia di Firenze.

La manifestazione nasce dalla volontà della Misericordia di promuovere e sostenere il nuovo e ambizioso progetto Art Charity “Villaggio San Sebastiano” per finanziare una struttura all’avanguardia per l’accoglienza di disabili intellettivi, un centro di ricerca ed un complesso europeo per l’arte-terapia dove artisti, disabili intellettivi e personale medico potranno interagire sviluppando un reciproco arricchimento. A dimostrazione di come l’arte possa diventare veicolo di carità per iniziative socio-culturali sensibilizzando e stimolando l’opinione pubblica verso problematiche sempre attuali.

AMERICAN APPAREL ITALIA

Einer der bedeutendsten europäischen Stencil Artists ist der aus der Schweiz stammende Orticanoodles. Zwar ist er erst seit ungefähr 2005 wirklich aktiv auf den Straßen unterwegs, seine detailgetreuen, faszinierenden Stencil-Artworks sind jedoch bereits international für ihre Erstklassigkeit bekannt. Am berühmtesten ist sein monochromes Jesus-Porträt, welches er entwarf, als er vor einigen Jahren ein aussagekräftiges Motiv suchte.

Der zur Zeit in Mailand arbeitende und wohnende Orticanoodles, dessen Name sich aus dem italienischen Wort für Brennessel und dem englischen Wort für Nudeln zusammensetzt, hat in den letzten drei Jahren an über 50 Ausstellungen in 14 Ländern mitgewirkt, zuletzt waren Artworks von ihm auch in der DoppelausstellungC215 & Stencil History X in Berlin sehen.

Bereits seit längerem sind Orticanoodles Arbeiten Inspirationen für viele andere Stencil-Artists, da sie nicht nur durch ihre Aussagen, sondern auch durch die saubere technische Umsetzung überzeugen. Vorbilder des circa 32jährigen sind übrigens Urban Art-Legenden wie C215, JR, Logan Hicks und Shepard Fairey.

Da er neben vielen anderen Streetart-KünstlerInnen “Mitglied” der Stencil History X ist, werden seine Artworks nicht nur auf den gleichnamigen Ausstellungen gezeigt, sondern lassen sich sich auch im dazugehörigen Stencil-Art Buch wiederfinden.
